WHO WE SERVE

 At Strong Survivors Women & Youth Empowerment, we envision a world where Minority women and youth girls are fully empowered to rise above systemic barriers and psychological distress and overcome life’s challenges to lead, heal, and thrive.  

 ​We aim to serve African American women and girls ages 13 and up, with a strong commitment to those who have experienced:

• Psychological distress, structural inequalities, and systemic racism. 
• Physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. 
• Generational poverty and housing instability. 
• Life transitions, single motherhood.

Our participants often face multiple overlapping challenges, but they build the strength to survive and lead with proper support networks. 

 We support women and girls by:

• Providing culturally responsive mentoring and life-skills programming. 
• Offering trauma-informed mental health education and support groups that prioritize emotional well-being.
• Expand fee-for-service employment opportunities to foster financial independence and job readiness.
• Build long-term community partnerships to support sustainability, resource access, and scalability.
• Create a replicable community empowerment model for minority women and girls in underserved regions
